Some local contractors are stepping up to help the Yucaipa Valley Christian School District, which needs new classroom space.
The Alliance Group Commercial Construction Inc. is helping to restore a 960-square-foot building at the district’s pre-school campus, including the construction of concrete walkways, adding a bathroom and replacing electrical wiring, according to a statement.
Besides The Alliance Group, G.J. Gentry and DM Electric are donating time and materials to the project.
“As a business owner, it’s a great feeling when you can generously use your skills and resources to make a difference,” said Joseph Freeno, president of The Alliance Group, in the statement. “In this case, the work will give more local children access to a great Christian education in a safe and wholesome environment.”
When finished, the classroom will support up to 24 children. The project is expected to be completed this month, with enrollment scheduled to start in January, according to the statement.
