Redlands-based Esri, a global leader in geographic information systems [GIS] technology, will sponsor an exhibit at the TechCrunch Disrupt NY 2017 hackathon and conference, scheduled to be held May 13-17 in New York.
Officials from Esri will be on hand to provide information regarding Esri’s start-up program, which helps developers, businesses and tech entrepreneurs match Esri’s technology to their companies, according to a statement.
GIS technology, which is provided by satellites, converts data into pictures, making it easier to visualize and break down information.
Esri’s software is used by more than 350,000 organizations worldwide including most national governments, 75 percent of Fortune 500 companies and 7,000 colleges and universities, according to the statement.
