Mag Instrument Inc., a world leader in flashlight technology, has received the National Hardware Manufacturing Award for Best New Product.
The Ontario company was recognized recently for its compact to mid-sized traffic wands, which are designed to fit into most MAGLITE flashlights, according to a statement released by Mag Instrument.
The wands convert MAGLITE’s flashlights into high-visibility instruments that are strong enough to illuminate a large area, much like a camping lantern. They can be used for traffic control and safety and to send emergency signals.
“It is gratifying to win an award based on our being an American manufacturer and, of course, creating excellent products,” said Tony Maglica, president and founder of Mag Instrument, in the statement.
The American Manufacturing Awards are given solely to companies that make their products in the United States and that emphasize excellence in design, quality and innovation, according to the statement.
