BofA helps local nonprofits

Bank of America has awarded $387,500 to 43 nonprofit agencies in the Inland Empire.

The economic mobility grants were given to organizations that help people achieve financial success, mostly through mentorship, skills training and by offering financial education, according to a statement.

Feeding America Riverside/San Bernardino Counties, Community Health Action Network, Moses House Ministries, Rim of the World Educational Foundation and Inland Empire Rescue Mission were among the organizations that received donations.

The grants, which were announced earlier this month, are part of nearly $43 million in charitable donations that the Bank of America Charitable Foundation is distributing nationwide to promote economic independence, according to the statement.
