Norco names top council positions

The Norco City Council has selected its leadership for the upcoming year.

Counciliman Berwin Hanna was selected mayor in a unanimous vote and Councilman Herb Higgins was named mayor pro-tem in a four-person vote from which Higgins himself abstained, according to a report that originally appeared in The Press-Enterprise.

Both men were re-elected to the council in 2011. Hanna replaces Kathy Azevedo as mayor, according to the report.
