The Planes of Fame Air Show is scheduled to land Saturday and Sunday this weekend at Chino Airport.
This year’s event will include more than 50 historic aircraft, including P-47 Thunderbolts, P-38 Lightnings and P-52 Mustangs, according to a statement.
Gates will open at 8 a.m. so that patrons can get a close look at the planes that will fly during the show. A panel discussion featuring World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veterans will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by an opening ceremony one hour later that will feature Fourth District Supervisor Curt Hagman.
Planes of Fame has attracted tens of thousands of spectators to Chino Airport during its 25 years in operation. General admission is $25, except children 11 years old and younger, who get in for free. Parking is also free.
