Aldi, German grocery store chain that is making major inroads in Southern California, will open its first San Jacinto store next month.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled to he held at 8 a.m. December 6, with the first 100 people in line to receive Golden Ticket gift cards, according to a statement.
The store, at 1667 S. San Jacinto Ave, will operate from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
Aldi, one of the fastest-growing retailers in the United States, is undergoing a $3.4 billion expansion that will enlarge the chain to 2,500 domestic stores by the end of 2020.
It currently has 1,800 stores in 35 states and serves 40 million customers a month, according to the statement.
