A graduate of the University of California, Riverside School of Business Administration will donate $25,000 to the school for scholarships.
Chris Lam, president and chief executive officer of Pucci Foods in Hayward, a seafood distribution company, has created the Y. Van Lam Endowed Scholarship Fund in honor of his father, according to a UC Riverside release.
The scholarships will be used to recruit and retain business students who perform high-end scholarly work and show a desire to give back to their community. The funds will be distributed by a panel of faculty members.
Chris Lam graduated from the business school in 1991.
