Vaccination sites in Riverside and San Bernardino counties are now administering booster shots, now that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved Pfizer’s COVID-19 booster.
Vaccine is available for people 65 years old or older, residents in long-term care, and people ages 18-64 with underlying medical conditions, according to a statement.
People who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of an occupational or institutional setting are also eligible for booster shots.
Those who are eligible can make an appointment by visiting MyTurn.Ca.gov or sbcovid.19.com or by contacting a pharmacy or health care provider.
Demand is expected to be high, so appointments are recommended.
