Cardenas Markets teams up with Instacart

Cardenas Markets has partnered with Instacart, the popular grocery home-delivery business.

Patrons of the Ontario-based Hispanic grocery store chain may access the service by visiting www.instacart.com/cardenas-marketplace, according to a statement.

Delivery fees start at $3.99 for same-day orders. Members of Instacart Express receive reduced fees and unlimited free deliveries on orders of $35 or more. 

Locally, the service will be available in Cathedral City, Coachella, Colton, Corona, Fontana, Hesperia, Indio, Lake Elsinore, Montclair, Moreno Valley, Murrieta, Ontario, Perris, Pomona, Rialto, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Jacinto, and Victorville.

“Cardenas Markets recognizes that the needs of our customers and communities are rapidly shifting,” said Adam Salgado, chief marketing officer for Cardenas Markets, in the statement. “We are committed to adapting with our customers, and our partnership with Instacart allows us to further meet their essential food needs.”

Cardenas Markets operates 60 stores: 53 as Cardenas Markets banner, the remaining seven as Cardenas Ranch Markets. The chain has stores in California, Arizona, and Nevada.

Instacart bills itself as the leading online grocery-delivery business in North America and has partnered with more than 500 national retailers, according to the statement.
