A patio has been added to the north end of Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.
The project, expected to open later this summer, is an extension of the arena’s main concourse that will cover about 10,000 square feet and accommodate up to 1,200 guests, according to a statement.
More space was needed for larger crowds at the 10-year-old venue, said Michael Krouse, the arena’s president and chief executive officer.
“Now we will have a beautiful outdoor space for more food and beverage offerings, plus a chance [for patrons] to enjoy our Southern California evenings before an event or during intermission,” Krouse said in the statement.
HMC Architects in Ontario designed the project, which includes a drop off/pick up area for ride shares and shuttle buses. Financial details were not released.
Citizens Business Bank Arena was recently named one of the best concert venues of its kind worldwide by Pollstar, a concert industry trade publication.
