Changes made to OIA’s China flights

Schedule changes have been made to the flights between Ontario International Airport and Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.

Starting today, China Airlines flight CI23 will leave Ontario at 11:50 p.m. and arrive in Taiwan at 5:00 a.m. local time, two days later, according to a statement.

The return flight, CI24, will depart Taiwan at 6 p.m. local time and arrive in Ontario at 3:10 p.m.

By arriving in Taiwan early in the morning, passengers will have an easier time making connections to Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea and China.

“The global aviation marketplace is dynamic, to say the least and it’s important that airlines and airports adjust as customer demands change,” said Julia Gouw, an authority commissioner and former president of East West Bank, which focuses on the Chinese American community.

China Airlines began roundtrip service between Ontario and Taiwan in March.
