Moreno Valley is accepting applications for funding provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
City officials expect to receive a little more than $2 million in Community Development Block Grant funds, which will pay for programs that help low-and-moderate-income residents or neighborhoods.
Moreno Valley also expects to receive $669,000 in HOME Investment Partnerships Program funding, and approximately $173,000 in Emergency Solutions Grants Program funding for the 2022-2023 fiscal year.
“This is a great example of the benefits of local control,” said Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez in the statement. “This process allows cities to decide what works best for their residents and community.”
Applications are accepted only non-profit organizations and government entities. Individuals are not eligible.
