Construction starts on Perris Park

Perris has broken ground on a 30-acre park.

Green Valley Park is being built in the Green Valley Ranch Community, north of Ethanac Road between Murrieta and Goetz roads, according to a statement on the city’s website.

When completed, Green Valley Park will be Perris’ 28th park, and its largest. It’s being developed by Raintree Investment Corp. in Henderson, Nev., which builds homes and develops master-planned communities.

The company first approached the city 10 years ago about building the park, said City Manager Clara Miramontes.

“Raintree … has worked with staff to set the vision for this project,” Miramontes said in the statement.  They’ve helped clean up this area to build a park for all residents to enjoy. Our community will only get better (because of it). We are proud of this work.”

A construction timeline, and an opening date, have not been released.
