Corona Councilwoman Karen Spiegel has been recognized by a regional transportation advocacy group.
Mobility 21 named Spiegel leader of the year during its Southern California Transportation Summit, held last Tuesday in Los Angeles, according to a report originally published in The Press-Enterprise.
Spiegel was honored for her work with the Riverside County Transportation Commission and for her efforts with Metrolink and the Southern California Association of Governments.
About 1,000 people attended the summit, according to the report.
