Cal State San Bernardino has partnered with two Eastern European universities, an alliance that will promote educational, scientific, and cultural development among the three institutions.
The agreement with LVIV Polytechnic National University in Ukraine and Krakow University of Economics in Poland was made official recently during a signing ceremony in Krakow, according to a statement on Cal State San Bernardino’s website.
“This is tremendous news and a wonderful opportunity that will ultimately benefit students, and the faculty and staff at [each] of our institutions,” said Tomás D. Morales, president of Cal State San Bernardino, in the statement.
“The memorandums of understanding reinforce my belief that students receive a benefit from international studies.”
All three universities will promote activities and seminars for students and faculty that will focus on entrepreneurship, research, and innovation technology.
Entrepreneurship will be the first area pursued, according to the statement.
Krakow University of Economics is one of five public economic universities in Poland. Cal State San Bernardino is home to the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship, which is part of the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration.
