Cal State San Bernardino and NIMS University in India have agreed to promote academic cooperation between the two schools.
Officials from both universities signed a memorandum of understanding on Dec. 6 during a ceremony on the Cal State San Bernardino campus, according to a statement on CUSB’s website.
The memorandum “signifies a commitment to promoting engagement, educational research, and collaboration” among students, faculty, staff, and departments of both universities.
“This is an opportunity that will enrich the experiences of our students and the faculty and staff at both of our institutions,” said Cal State San Bernardino President Tomás D. Morales in the statement. “We see this partnership as a catalyst for cultivating cross-cultural understanding and advancing academic excellence.”
Representatives from colleges and universities from throughout Southern California attended the meeting, which was meant to encourage those schools to consider forming similar international partnerships, according to the statement.
