A sushi restaurant has leased the last space at Fontana Plaza East.

Emporio Sushi will occupy 3,084 square feet at the neighborhood shopping mall at 9765 Sierra Ave., according to Progressive Real Estate Partners in Rancho Cucamonga, which negotiated the transaction.

This will be Emporio’s third restaurant and its first in the Inland Empire. Its other locations are in Orange and Downey.

An opening date was not released, and lease terms were not disclosed.

Built in 1985, the shopping center covers more than 98,000 square feet and is less than a half-mile from Interstate 10. It has an average daily traffic count of more than 52,000 vehicles.

Other retailers, either at the shopping center or near it, include Stater Bros., El Super, CVS, IHOP, In-N-Out Burger, KFC and Wingstop. The property is within walking distance of Kaiser Permanente Hospital, and the average household income within a 5-mile radius is $63,220, according to Progressive.
