Esri founder to speak at conference

Jack Dangermond, founder and president of Esri in Redlands, will speak at GEO Week, a five-day conference scheduled to start Monday in Washington, D.C.

The Group on Earth Observationists is a conglomeration of more than 100 governments and another 100 participating organizations, according to a statement.

Dangermond is scheduled to speak Wednesday at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center about how earth observations are improving the decision-making process in all sectors of society, and how GEO can best work with the business community to promote that process.

Esri is a global leader in geographic information system software, which is used to manage, store and display geographic and spatial data. That information is used make maps and other displays of geographic information.
