Redlands-based Esri, a global leader in location intelligence technology, has opened a research and development center in New Delhi, India.
The facility will focus on data science, deep learning, and geospatial artificial intelligence solutions, according to a statement.
New Delhi is the 15th research and development operation Esri owns and operates worldwide. Before that, it’s most recent addition was in Vienna, Austria.
Esri software is used by 350,000 organizations worldwide, including large cities, most national governments, 75 percent of Fortune 500 companies, and more than 7,000 colleges and universities, according to the statement.
