A fast-casual restaurant has leased a site in a San Bernardino shopping center.
Lefty’s Famous Cheese Steak & Grille will occupy 1,974 square feet at 2071 E. Highland Ave., Progressive Real Estate Partners in Rancho Cucamonga announced Monday.
Progressive represented both parties in the negotiations. Details about the property owner, and the lease, were not disclosed.
The store is expected to open later this year.
The shopping center is at Highland and Sterling avenues, less than one-quarter mile from the Foothill Freeway. It’s anchored by Cardenas Market and Planet Fitness and has a Starbucks, a Wendy’s drive-thru and Cricket Wireless store.
Founded in Detroit in 2009, Lefty’s is undergoing an “aggressive expansion,” and the San Bernardino store will be its flagship store in Southern California once it opens, according to the statement.
