Michelle Decker has been named president and chief executive office of The Community Foundation.
Decker will succeed interim president and chief financial officer Paula Myles, who will continue as the foundation’s vice president of finance and administration, according to a statement.
The Riverside-based entity, which provides college scholarships and grants to nonprofit agencies in the Inland Empire, selected Decker from more than 60 applicants following a nationwide search.
Decker, who is scheduled to begin work April 2, is currently the chief executive officer of Rural Action, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the economy in Appalachian Ohio.
She has held leadership positions in community and economic development for more than 25 years, according to the statement.
