Stacy Fraser has been named Cal State San Bernardino’s outstanding professor for the 2024-25 academic year.
A music instructor, Fraser was recognized for her “excellence in teaching, research, scholarly and creative activities, and service to students and the campus community,” according to a statement on the university’s website.
Fraser received the award May 1, when university President Tomas D. Morales and several colleagues waked into a meeting unannounced that Fraser was attending. It is a university tradition to present faculty awards in such a manner.
Fraser has produced 25 operas and musical productions that have involved Cal State San Bernardino students, according to the statement.
