Frontier Airlines to begin flights from ONT to Seattle

Frontier Airlines will soon begin offering non-stop service to Seattle from Ontario International Airport.

Beginning June 2, the airline will run flights from Ontario International to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, according to a statement released by the Ontario International Airport Authority.

The route will be flown with Airbus A320 aircraft that can carry up to 186 passengers. Tickets are available now.

“We pride ourselves on becoming a low-cost airport, and our approach is proving to be attractive to our airline partners,” said Mark Thorpe, chief executive officer of the airport authority, in the statement. “Ontario has capacity to grow, which is advantageous to carriers adding new aircraft.”

Frontier operates from Terminal 2 with flights to Denver, Orlando, Austin and San Antonio. The airline is scheduled to begin offering nonstop service to Las Vegas, Newark and Miami starting in April, along with San Salvador in May and Guatemala City in June, according to the statement.
