Garcia named Eastvale’s temporary city manager

Henry Garcia has been named Eastvale’s acting city manager.

A 30-year public service employee, Garcia replaces Bryan Jones, who was placed on administrative leave last month for reasons that have not been disclosed, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Jones remains on the city’s payroll, according to reports.

Garcia helped Eastvale put together the city council’s strategic plan in 2018 and 2021.

“The city has many goals to work on in 2022, and I’m honored to help guide city staff toward achieving the objectives set forth in the strategic plan,” Garcia said in the statement. “By maintaining fiscal strength, protecting public safety, bolstering the city’s infrastructure and supporting local businesses, we will expand opportunity in Eastvale.”
