Tomas Gomez-Arias has been named dean of the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration at Cal State San Bernardino.
A longtime administrator and business-marketing instructor, Gomez-Arias is currently dean of the College of Business Administration at Cal State Stanislaus.
He is scheduled to begin at Cal State San Bernardino, where he will also be a full-time tenured professor in the school’s marketing department, July 1.
Gomez-Arias will take over for Professor Shanthi Srinivas, interim dean, who has been running the business school since August.
“Gómez-Arias brings a wealth of experience both in the academic world and the public sector that I’m confident will be an asset to our Cal State San Bernardino team and help inspire our students,” said Shari McMahan, provost and vice president of academic affairs, in the statement. “We look forward to working with him in his efforts to further enhance the reputation and academic excellence of the college.”
Dr. Gomez Arias will be a wonderful academic leader and dean for the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration.
