Nipunjeet Gujral has been appointed to Riverside’s board of public utilities.
Gujral, who represents ward three, is a senior data scientist with Global Infotek and a Twitter bot consultant for the University of Oxford, according to a statement on the city’s website.
A graduate of UC Riverside, this is Gujral’s first board term. He is expected to serve until at least March 2026.
David Crohn, a board member since 2016 and associate professor emeritus of environmental sciences at UC Riverside, was named board chairman. Crohn’s term expires in March 2024.
Rebeccah Goldware, ward two representative and vice chancellor for institutional advancement and economic development at the Riverside Community College District, was named vice chair. Her term lasts through March 2024, according to the statement.
