Moreno Valley Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez attended the recent Conference of Mayors in Washington, D.C.
Gutierrez met with President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden during the three-day non-partisan event, which was held Jan. 18 -21, according to a statement.
It’s always a pleasure to join my fellow Mayors in our nation’s capital to share best practices and showcase how Washington can help make a difference in Moreno Valley,” Gutierrez said in the statement.
Topics included American Rescue Plan Act, which has issued billions of dollars in Coronavirus relief funds to cities. Moreno Valley to improve public safety infrastructure and homelessness programs.
“No matter who is in the White House, Moreno Valley will continue to seek national support and attention for our programs, services, and residents in need,” Gutierrez said in the statement.
