Lance Hastings, president of the California Manufacturers & Technology Association, will speak at the eighth annual Inland Empire Manufacturers’ Council Summit.
Most recently vice president of national affairs for MillerCoors, Hastings is scheduled to be part of a panel that will discuss California industry and the state’s efforts to become more friendly to manufacturing, according to a statement.
“We must turn the dream of California manufacturing into a promise by ensuring a predictable and cost-competitive business climate that promotes new investment of manufacturing facilities,” Hastings said in the statement. “California must never lose sight of the grand reward and the tremendous economic growth that comes from making the products that it innovates.”
The summit is scheduled to be held from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Riverside Convention Center. Ticket information can be found at www.mfgcouncilie.com, and all attendees must register in advance.
The summit typically attracts about 600 people, according to the statement.
