Hill, Raney join Big Bear Lake staff

Big Bear Lake has added two staff members: Planning Director Jae Hill and Chief Building Official Steve Raney.

Both were formally introduced to the city Monday during the regularly scheduled city council meeting, which was held at Hofert Hall, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Hill is a planner with years of professional experience in several mountain resort communities including Sun Valley, Lake Tahoe and Redmond.

Raney has an extensive background in state municipal building inspection and plan review, having worked for California, San Bernardino Pasadena.

Hill and Raney’s appointments conclude a major reorganization of city hall staff that began in December, according to the statement.
