FirstBank, one of the largest privately held financial institutions in the United States, has been named bank partner of the Coachella Valley Firebirds, the minor league hockey team scheduled to begin play this fall.
The Lakewood, Colo.-based bank has also been named bank partner and presenting sponsor of Acrisure Arena, the future $250 million home of the American Hockey League team that is under construction at Interstate 10 and Cook Street in Palm Desert, according to a statement released Thursday.
“FirstBank is one of the most respected banks of the southwest and they’ve been a longtime staple in the Coachella Valley, said Steve Fraser, president of Acrisure Arena and the Coachella Valley Firebirds, in the statement. “We’re excited to welcome them as one of Acrisure Arena’s presenting partners,”
As presenting sponsor, FirstBank will have its brand displayed throughout the 11,000-seat arena and its logo on the ice. It will also host player appearances and “meet and greets,” among other pre-game events.
FirstBank operates four Coachella Valley branch office and more than 100 locations throughout the southwest. It was recently voted “Best Bank” and “Best Mortgage Lender” by the Desert Sun.
