Holiday toy drive slated

Children’s Fund, a San Bernardino County nonprofit, will collect and distribute more than 30,000 gifts for underprivileged children this holiday season.

The organization will collect toys for its 30th Annual Celebration of Giving Campaign Dec. 3 through Dec. 14, according to a statement.

Donations may be brought to 1140 E. Cooley Ave. in San Bernardino between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays.

“For some children, the only gift under the tree this year will be a Celebration of Giving toy from Children’s Fund,” said Ciriaco “Cid” Pinedo, president and chief executive officer of Children’s Fund, in the statement.

Teenagers will receive a $25 gift card so they may shop and choose their own gift.

Children’s Fund is asking for cash donations to help pay for the program.  Those donations can be made at www.childrensfund.org.
