Greater Los Angeles/Orange County, including the Inland Empire, is home to 269 of the 5,000 fastest-growing companies in the United States, according to a report by CBRE Group Inc.
The report, based on data compiled by Inc. Magazine, found that 25 of those businesses are in the Inland region.
The National Merchants Association, a merchant payment processor, was ranked 196, the highest of any Inland company.
Six hundred seventy California businesses made the list, about half of which are based in Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Riverside or San Bernardino counties. Those companies have a median workforce of 42 employees and median annual revenue of $42 million, the report stated.
