Inland Empire Foreclosures Down

Foreclosures in the Inland Empire were down slightly in September, according to data released Tuesday.

The two-county region’s foreclosure inventory for that month was 0.7 percent, down 0.2 percent compared with September 2014, CoreLogic reported in it most recent national foreclosure report.

There were 5,534 home foreclosures in Riverside and San Bernardino counties between September 2014 and September of this year, down from 6,420 foreclosures during the previous 12-month period, CoreLogic reported.

Also in September, the national foreclosure inventory declined by 24.3 percent and completed foreclosures dropped by 17.3 percent compared with September 2014.

There were approximately 55,000 foreclosures nationwide during September, a drop of 52.8 percent from the peak of 117,438 in September 2010, according to CoreLogic.
