Unemployment in the Inland Empire moved up slightly last month.
The two-county region recorded a 9.2 percent jobless rate in July, an increase of 0.8 percent from June but well below the 10.9 percent rate of July 2013, according to the California Employment Development Department.
Riverside and San Bernardino counties added 36,500 jobs between last month and July 2013, a three percent increase.
Some of the month-over-month increase in unemployment was caused by recent graduates who were entering the job market along with school employees who are unemployed during the summer, according to the data, which was released last week.
