Riverside Public Utilities has been named one of the top sustainable water utilities in the United States by the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies.
The award was announced Monday during the association’s annual Executive Management Conference in Savannah, Ga.
Riverside Public Utilities was one of 12 utilities recognized for its efforts in becoming water independent, relying on groundwater to provide for its customers’ needs and thus keeping its costs down, according to a statement.
