Matthew Knox has been named San Bernardino County’s director of veterans affairs.
A U.S. Army veteran, Knox was recently appointed by the board of supervisors, according to a statement on the county’s website.
“It’s an honor to lead this organization, because our team plays a pivotal role in ensuring veterans and their families receive the benefits they earned,” Knox said in the statement. “The department has developed a reputation as a tireless advocate for veterans, and I plan to continue this legacy. “Knox has worked for the county for six years, most recently as the American Rescue Plan Act’s program office. He was also chief of staff to Supervisor Dawn Rowe.
