Feeding America Riverside/San Bernardino, one of the largest food banks in the Inland Empire, will donate equipment to several local foods banks and pantries.
The program, which is being paid for by Aldi Corp., involved entities that Feeding America Riverside/San Bernardino is partnered with, according to a statement.
Each local agency will receive two or more commercial refrigerators, commercial freezer, commercial pallet jack, infrared thermometer or thermal blanket.
The agencies receiving the items are in Moreno Valley, Hesperia, San Bernardino, Yucaipa, Lake Elsinore, Fontana and Murrieta.
“Being able to provide equipment that will help some of our great community partners increase the diversity of healthy food products they are able to provide is a true blessing for us,” said Lori Butler, the food bank’s philanthropy director, in the statement. “With refrigeration and freezers systems these organization that feed the hungry will now be able to provide refrigerated, frozen and perishable food to those they serve.”
