Loma Linda University Medical Center’s East Campus is making plans for a new inpatient rehabilitation facility.
Loma Linda University Health and Lifepoint Rehabilitation in Brentwood, Tenn. have entered into a joint partnership that will bring the 80-bed facility to the east campus, according to a statement released May 8 by LLUH.
When completed, the facility will provide nursing, physical, occupational and speech pathology services for adults who are recovering from various debilitations. Those include stroke, neurological disease and brain or spinal cord injuries.
“Today marks an important milestone in our commitment to providing exceptional care and support to our community,” said Trevor Wright, chief executive officer of Loma Linda University Health Hospitals, in the statement. “Through our partnership with Lifepoint Rehabilitation, we’re not only establishing a facility but also enhancing rehabilitation services to ensure every individual receives the specialized care they need.”
Construction is expected to start next year and be completed in 2027. Lifepoint Rehabilitation will manage the facility.
Loma Linda University Health oversees Loma Linda University’s eight professional schools, and Loma Linda University Medical Center’s six hospitals, according to the statement.
