Ontario International Airport has begun a $150,000 marketing campaign.
The month long campaign, which will promote flights to the airport, started Monday at different locations throughout Riverside and San Bernardino counties, according to a report in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.
The advertisements, a combination of digital and traditional billboards, are being paid for by Los Angeles World Airports, the city of Los Angeles Agency that also owns Los Angeles International Airport and Van Nuys Airport.
Ontario is currently in a major battle with Los Angeles to get local control of the airport, which has suffered a dramatic drop in passenger traffic during the past decade.
