Menifee will forego its annual State of the City address this year.
Instead, in its place, the city will celebrate the 15th anniversary of its incorporation.
The Menifee Birthday Celebration is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at the recently built Mt. San Jacinto College Stadium, 28237 La Piedra Road, according to a statement on the city’s website.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin with an update from city officials about the latest projects and developments in the city.
Following that, a community celebration will begin that will feature live music, food vendors, and arts and crafts displays, among other attractions.
“This is a special moment in our city’s history, and we want to invite the entire Menifee community and our regional neighbors to join us for this special occasion,” said Mayor Bill Zimmerman in the statement, “This is also a great opportunity for residents to experience the new stadium firsthand.”
The event’s theme is “City of Innovation – Building for the Future.” For more information visit www.cityofmenifee.us/StateoftheCity.
