Ana S. Miramontes has been appointed to the Riverside Public Utilities Board.
Mayor Rusty Bailey and the city council recently appointed Miramontes to represent Ward 2, which includes Canyon Crest, the city’s east side and UC Riverside, according to a statement on the city’s website.
A vice president for small business banking with Bank of America, Miramontes replaced Kevin Foust, who resigned. She will serve the remainder of Foust’s four-year term, which expires in March.
Also, Jennifer O’Farrell has been re-appointed to another four-year term, through March 2023. O’Farrell represents Ward 1, which includes downtown. She has been a board member for four years.
Members of the Board of Public Utilities also voted to retain Jo Lynne Russo-Pereyra, a citywide member, as chairperson. Her term runs through March 1, 2021.
