Moreno Valley’s city council and planning commission meetings are available to the public exclusively online.
The move, taken because of the surge in COVID-19 cases in Riverside County, began with Tuesday’s council meeting and is scheduled to last through February, according to a statement on the city’s website.
“We are moving to virtual-only meetings to make sure we do our part to slow the spread of the Omicron variant in Moreno Valley,” said Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez in the statement. “I encourage the community to stay safe, stay physically distant, and use face masks and hand sanitizer where appropriate.”
Instructions on how to participate can be found at moval.org/zoom.
City Council and Planning Commission meetings can be viewed live on the city’s YouTube channel and MV3.
