Moreno Valley is scheduled to hold a community clean up Saturday.
Anyone interested in participating in Keep Moreno Valley Beautiful should report by 9 a.m. to Moreno Valley College Student Parking Lot B, according to a statement on the city’s website.
Volunteers will pick up trash on Indian Street from John F. Kennedy Drive to Iris Avenue, and along Nason Street from Cactus to Iris avenues.
All participants are encouraged to bring water and wear sunscreen, long pants and shoes with closed toes. Litter grabbers, gloves and trash bags will be provided.
Keep Moreno Valley Beautiful is meant to get residents involved in the city’s beautification efforts. The program’s larger mission is to encourage community participation and enhance the city’s quality of life, according to the statement.
