Moreno Valley has once again been recognized for its governmental accounting and financial reporting practices.
The city recently earned the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Officers Finance Association of the United States and Canada, according to a statement on the city’s website.
This was the 19th consecutive year Moreno Valley has received the award. This year, it was honored for its Fiscal Year 2015/16 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
The city was also honored with the finance association’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting, for its yearly financial report. Moreno Valley has earned that distinction every year since 2014, when it began publishing the report, according to the statement.
