MoVal’s art program returns

Moreno Valley is again asking local artists to donate their work for possible exhibitions in city facilities.

The city’s annual Art Loan Program accepts “family-friendly” pieces of art created by Moreno Valley residents to be displayed in the council chamber, library, and several other locations, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Anyone who lives or works in Moreno Valley is eligible to participate.

“Moreno Valley is full of talented artists, and we want to do our part to cultivate those talents,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera in the statement. “I invite all local artists to submit their work to be showcased in our city facilities.”

All work must be submitted by Sept. 5. Accepted works will be displayed through January  2024. Applications are available at moval.org/artloan.
