Christopher B. Harmon, a defense attorney from Trabuco Canyon, has been appointed to a judgeship in Riverside County.
Harmon, 39, was appointed last month by Gov. Jerry Brown, according to a report in The Press-Enterprise.
Harmon has been in solo practice since 2013. He has been a trial attorney and served as executive director of Criminal Defense Lawyers since 2003. CDL manages private lawyers who are selected to represent indigent defendants in Riverside County, according to the report.
Admitted to the bar in 2000, Harmon has also been a partner with Harmon and Harmon law firm in Riverside. He will replace Judge Jean Pfeiffer Leonard, who is retiring, according to the report.
