On The Move

Karen Foley is the new general manager at Riverside’s Fox Theater and Riverside Municipal Auditorium.

Foley replaces Joseph Cahill, who left the position for undisclosed reasons after one year on the job, according to a report in The Press-Enterprise.

Foley, who has worked at similar venues in Arizona and Ohio, has worked in entertainment for more than 20 years. She worked for Clear Channel Entertainment before joining Live Nation Entertainment – owner and operator of both Riverside venues and the Riverside Performing Arts Center – in 2007, according to the report.

Live Nation is an entertainment company based in Beverly Hills. Eleven shows at the Fox Theater have sold out since Live Nation began running that facility last December.

The city of Riverside pays Live Nation $500,000 a year to run the Fox Theater, the report stated.
