On The Move

Corona City Manager Brad Robbins is stepping down.

Robbins announced this week that he will step down in April after six years on the job, according to a report in The Press-Enterprise.

The 55-year-old Robbins began working for Corona in 1988, as an assistant planner. He worked in the planning and water and power departments until he became city manager in 2008, according to the report.

Robbins, who was praised by several council members for helping the city through the worst days of the recession, is a Riverside native and a graduate of La Sierra High School and UC Riverside.

The council must decide how to replace Robbins and whether to recruit to fill the position. Robbins and his four predecessors were all promoted from within the city, according to the report.
