Utility exec to be interim city manager
Riverside’s public utilities deputy city manager will become the city’s interim assistant city manager.
Steve Badgett, who had planned to retire, will take over for Belinda Graham, an assistant city manager for the past six years who is retiring this month, according to a report in The Press-Enterprise.
Badgett will be one of the city’s two assistant city managers and will be paid $241,584 annually to oversee police, fire, parks and several other departments.
He agreed to delay his retirement so he could help Riverside’s new city manager, who is expected to be named soon, the report stated.
